Ok, I have a Dodge Ram 1500, 5.2L V8, Single Cab, 4 Speed Auto with 150K miles. I should start off by saying that the problem i am having happens every now and then but now its getting more frequent only on cold starts( i don't drive it everyday as im a college student and live on campus but i go every couple days and start it). Ok I get in put the key in turn the ignition, truck starts to turn over then BANG. Now backfire is the only way i can explain it, BUT this BANG comes directly under my feet, maybe either the bottom end of the engine in between the transmission and the beginning of the drive-shaft. I have absolutely no idea what it is, could it be a exhaust buildup and when i start it it backfires? After this bang it restarts just fine. The truck drives, shifts perfectly always other than the very very very occasional that the truck dies randomly but starts right back up. Any ideas, is it serious? Thanks Everyone.
Edit: Live to ride, Thanks for nothing, and my dodge could give your little civic an a** stompin but thanks for your immature answer. I came here for answers, not your dumb opinoun
