2000 dodge neon no power all of a sudden? Help I am stuck?

I was driving my 2000 dodge neon which has a 2.0 engine and all of a sudden it has no power. still runs but it runs rough check engine light came on but not for a while. Any ideas what it is I am stuck on the side of the road now
 
Did your battery die, if it did than you would need to get someone to jumpstart it for you, google it to get proper safety precautions and procedures, when you do jumpstart it, i would suggest you to replace the current battery. If this is not the case, there are numerous ways an engine can die, if the engine is running but can't move, the problem would lie in the transmission or drivetrain, if the engine shuts off, than the problem is in the engine. You should have a mechanic check this out for you.
