I got a used 2000 dodge intrepid with only about 115,000 miles that recently has only been getting blue smoke out of the tail pipe only when i accelerate from a stop. When i got the car i got an oil change right away, but before 3000 miles, maybe i've driven it only 1300, my brother said he noticed some blue smoke when he saw me driving one day, he checked the oil said it looked ok at the time, but after about 1800 miles my car was making sounds, so i had my brother check the oil again and he said it was dry of oil. So i had my brother give it an oil change and he noticed a leak from where the screw or whatever it was that goes underneath (i'm not a huge car buff so bare with me). i dont know if thats the reason, but i've read from many resources it could be that the rings went bad and something within the cylinder, possible PCV valve needs to be replaced. a buddy of mine said its just because its an older car and a common thing with intrepids, but its strange because i've seen tons of intrepids and other older vehicles that were just fine.
