2000 chrysler concorde shifter is stuck?

2000 Chrysler Concorde with 2.7L v6. The shifter is stuck in drive and will not budge, i had my friend lay under the car and try and move the shift linkage at the transmission and it still would not budge. Any ideas? Is there a recall for this specific problem? We lubed the shift linkage with wd40 and look over everything and have not found any binding anywhere. They key was in the run position as well as my foot on the brake pedal when we were trying to shift it into park. Any help would be appreciated
