I was on the expressway today when my ABS and TRAC OFF lights came on. I pulled over and turned off the car. Once I turned the car off the dashboard lights and CD changer lights began to flash as if there was some type of electrical short. As the lights were flashing I tried to start the car but it would not turn over. After the lights stopped flashing, which took about 15 seconds, the car turned back on. Everything seemed okay for a few miles, then the car stalled when I came to a stop at a stoplight. The dash lights and CD changer lights flashed again. Then I was able to turn on the car and drive the rest of the way to work. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

This sounds like security related to me...I would have your ignition switched checked out. Or it could be your alternator going bad. When you are driving...see if the security light keeps flashing.....

If not not....

next time your car stalls and if it will not start....try to jump it...if it jumps and starts up....take off the jumper cables...if it stalls again, it is your alternator.
