I have a 2000 chevy s-10 with a 2.2 liter engine. Last week it died on me and would not start. I replaced the fuel pump, pump only. Put it back together and it still would not start. Removed pump again and hook it up to the battery directly and pump runs fine. Put it back together, checked power to connectors and power is fine. Checked 20 amp fuse and relay both good. Still won't start. Replaced fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, crankshaft sensor and oil sending switch. Still nothing. Finally began tracing wire loom down to fine the ground wire which was located back by the taillight plug. Removed ground from Chaise and cleaned area. Relocated ground to differ ant spot. Truck started and ran fine for about 10 miles. While leaving a stop light truck began to sputter and died. Tried to start truck and it will not. There is no fuel coming out of the schrader valve under the hood. Anybody have any Solutions to a fix, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
