2000 Chevy Blazer...Transmission problem ,maybe?

I was pulling out of a driveway yesterday and my blazer went to shift from first to second and it made a high pitched grinding noise, when I took my foot off the gas this noise stopped. As I was driving I noticed I had to take my foot off the gas completely for the vehicle to shift from 1st into 2nd and it wouldn't shift into 3rd at all...also it won't go into reverse now at all either. Any input on what the problem(and solution) might be would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
I checked the transmission fluid and that was fine, and there isn't anything leaking either...

there is a solenoid inside those transmissions that makes the transmission shift, maybe it,s bad or it could be time for a fluid and filter change but don,t flush it, just change it.

either your transmission is shot completely. or very unlikely ur U joints need tio be replaced! if u have been driving it rough its prolly the trannsimission. i would have the test run on the electronic sensor at autozone. they will tell u the exact problem. hope this helps!

Uhhh....have you opened the hood and checked the transmission fluid level?

Have you noticed any puddles of oil or fluid on the ground under the truck?

Have you recently had the transmission fluid changed or serviced?
