Idle at 1000 rpms stopped and then it drops to between 8 to 900 rpms and some times dies.The volt meter with the new alternator reads 13.5 and then may drop to 11.6 or 13.0 volts.the engine intermittently acts like it is locking up and then the symptoms go away.Their are no codes and the only thing is the fuel level sending unit is shorting out occasionally.Could this be the reason the engine is stumbling once in awhile? What do you think is taking place ?
2000 Buick Park Ave.,Starter was replaced because it shorted out ,gas gauge erratic ?
