I own a 2000 Buick Century for nearly 2 years. Recently, the transmission failed to function when the speed reaches certain levels. And the car continuously keeps jerking and generates noise if I try to pick up the speed. After I keep trying for a while, the car then works normally. It happens randomly between 20 mph to 50 mph, that why I think it may not be the internal transmission problem. Nonetheless, if I turn on my engine and stay about 20 minutes before driving, the car would have no problem at all. Any ideas about this kind of issue? BTW, the levels of transmission fluid, engine oil and coolant are all good.
Not idle rough.

It sound like shift solenoids. There are 2 of them in your transmission. They are not very expensive to replace at a transmission shop. You should take it into a transmission shop and let them look at it. You could me doing more harm by driving it that way. The longer you put off fixing it the more its going to cost you. (that is if you keep driving it.)
