so recently my oil was pretty low. i had only checked it because my car was acting a little funny. it seemed like it did not have as much "umph" as it normally does. i got more oil and the level is fine now. it is due for an oil change and the light came on the next day. my main problem is i have noticed that the rpm has been getting high when i drive it. while idling, it is pretty low, about 500-600, which ive been told is below normal. before, it would usually only go to about 1500-2000 before shifting, now it normally goes to 3000. does anybody think getting an oil change, and possibly a tune up soon will potentially fix this problem? in the mean time is there anything i should do? also, what else could cause the rpm to change like that? all this happened only in about a day. seemed as if it was fine, and suddenly seemed sluggish. any info is greatly appreciated.
