20 Pin iPod Dock Connector to LG C2000 Cable? What is it for?

I have a 20 Pin iPod Dock Connector to LG C2000 Cable and I was wondering what it is used for. You plug it into an lg phone and an iphone, no dialogs pop up or anything. Anyone seen this before?
