20 gig XBOX360 HD too small...

I just got this thing for xmas, and already i only have about 7 gigs left of space.

I've downloaded about 6 demos, but still, I wish there was more space.

Any plans for a larger hd?
 
theres a bunch of videos on the drive itself that serve no purpose, go look at the memory on the drive and look under videos. there should be about 3-5 gig of worthless stuff on there
 
But still its a bit small.

The thing I'd really like to do is have a 60-100 GB HD, and the be able to transfer all of my music from an external HD to the 360, and then move the HD back to my computer. Same thing with videos (also support more than the fucking WMV clips, its so fucking useless).


You can plug in an external HD but you can't save games or Demos to it (unless there has been a change recently). You can only save games and Demos to the built in HD or a memory card.
 
i don't even think you can transfer data from an outside source other than a music disc onto the HD. i know you can stream movies/music from a pc/mp3 player, but i don't think you can currently copy media from an outside hard drive onto teh 360, can you?
 
Does the backward compatibility "list" take up a lot of room on the HD? I see that there are about 275 games on the compatibility list. If you buy an older game (like Halo) will it take up a lot of room on the HD?
 
I was suprised at the ammount of crap that comes on there, A day after owning the console I was suprised that nearly half the drive was already consumed
