there are the larger tetras(2), large snails(2), algae eaters(2).. albino catfish (2)... i know light is a factor... this isn't near any windows... ( we have a 2nd tank beside it with livebearers.. the water looks fine in it..)
the only difference besides the fish is that fact that the one with "green water" had incondescent lighting.. left on most of day... the "clear" tank has flourescent bulbs, both on majority of the day....they are fed brightly colored foor "tetra-color"
maybe this will shead a little more "light" on what's causing the problem...We've cleaned this tank at LEAST 3 times... (we did use clorox to kill algae but of course cleaned that off).. and we used a water dechlorinater when starting the tank back up.. I know we're stressed out over this ordeal.. most likely the fish are as well.. although i complain much more than they ... any help, suggestions, tips would be very much appreciated!
