2 weeks late & negative pregnancy test?

is it possible for a pregnancy test to be negative when you are pregnant?

because i had sex with my boyfriend & this month i haven't come on my period it was due 2weeks ago & i went to a clinic today 4 a pregnancy test and it came out negative??

not on the pill or never have been.

periods are regular ish maybe a few days late but never like this.

not stressing or anything.

help??

I had this same situation happen to me. Last Month my period was 2 weeks late. It had been on all the other times and I had no major stress that I knew of to alter my monthly friend, but it did. I had a really strong one so I knew I could not be pregnant, and I did check before in these 2 weeks of no period and it was negative.

The only thing that was different from before was a friend that I had not seen in a year came and visited me. You know how women change their cycle so that was the only thing i could think of.

It will not hurt you or the baby if you do not find out till another month that you are pregnant. Truthfully, I think there may be something else going on and not just pregnancy. I am pregnant, but I conceived right after this late period. It feels completely different than just getting ready for your period. My big sign was a really bad taste in my mouth. Keep an eye on your period when you get it and see if it is normal or not. If it is a lot lighter, then check it out.
