I don't mean to be ignorant but what does LPR stand for?Also if something like prilosec works but you can only take it 14 days every 4 months..then what am I suppose to do the rest of the time....thanks

You must be buying over the counter medication which suggests that it's used short term. The PPI medications are listed as short term medications although many people take them for years because they have chronic symptoms. You might want to see a doctor if you need on going medication.
