1) A crate slides down on inclined, frictionless ramp with an acceleration of .95m/s^2. What is the ratio between the normal force of the ramp on the crate and the crate's weight?

2) Two cars approach an intersection at 90 degrees to each other. The first car has a mass of 970kg and is traveling in the +y direction at 45mi/hr. The second car has a mass of 1280kg and is traveling in the +x direction at 58mi/hr. The two cars become entangled. What is the velocity of the entangled wreckage just after impact? Suppose that the entangled wreckage comes to a screeching stop 0.014 miles from the point of collision. Was the wreckage stopped by kinetic static friction? What is the coefficient?
