2 Phones?

I am really interested in getting a phone with great Email support. I obviously am thinking of getting a blackberry. Problem is I don't want to carry the thing around in my pocket when going out etc - (at these times email/im etc become less important)

Maybe I need two seperate phones.. (maybe not.. I am open to suggestions)

If I got a GSM blackberry and flip phone could I just switch out the sim card whenever I want? Would I be better off just using the blackberry for email and always have a second phone with me? Has anyone found a good solution to this problem?
 
If you are not tied to a particular service provider, you might check out the LG VX9800 from Verizon. For $19.99/mo. you can do e-mail using wireless sync. The drawback that I have heard is that the e-mail only autosync's every hour - however you can sync on demand. This phone is definitely smaller than a Blackberry. This phone also works great with Gmail.
 
I am not tied to any service. I really like the push email of the blackberry (who wouldn't). I might go and check out the VX this weekend. Any one else have any ideas? Would the blackberry and a phone thing work?
