Please respond to both in as clear layman terms as possible. This is all very new to me.
1: EXPOSURE. When shooting on manual mode, should I disregard the light meter? ... or should I allow the reading to say underexposed with the knowledge that the flash will add light? If so, how many stops will be best?
2: TV / AV: I read that it is really the shutter speed which affects the exposure of mainly the background so you it would be easier to maintain the aperture constant and change the shutter speed. In that way, will shutter speed (or aperture priority) be better here?
