2 car related questions for a 1999 Buick Century: My engine steams when it rains, is

this normal? Of course I always think it's on fire. Second question: I always feel like my engine smells bad after I drive it, like a burning tupperware smell. Is this normal? (the smell, not the fact that I smell it). Just had it serviced and they said I am good and everything is fine and my car will last through winter. But I just need someone to verify this. Thanks!
