I have a 1987 Ford Ranger and my engine just went bad. It has a 2.9L V6 with a 5-speed manual transmission. I want to put a 302 V8 in it instead of just replacing the V6. I am willing to buy whatever I need, I just need to know everything I would have to buy. Would I have to buy a new transmission? What other adjustments would I need to make? The truck also has a 6 inch lift...no idea if that affects the conversion. Would I have to replace springs? Leveling kit? General idea of how much the conversion would cost? Thanks a lot
