2.5 Engine In My Car?

Okay, I have a 1984 fiero. Recently blew my engine. Now am replacing my engine. Instead, i have a 1990 2.5 engine with 90000 miles. So, its in much better working condition. However, my fiero maxed out at 85 miles per hour. Relatively cheap speaking, what are my options for uping the horse power or making it faster. Obviously, im not buying another car or doing an engine swap, but i have heard about shaving the heads and/or cold air intake, any other 2.5 engine options?
