2/15 mg pills instead of 1/30 mg pill?

I have Lexapro 15 mg from 1 doctor, but my mental health services doctor said most people don't start seeing benefits until its at 30 mg. I was told that if I don't have 30mg pills, I can just take 2/15 mg pills at the same time. Is this true? I'm currently overseas, so I can't get a prescription for the 30 mg Lexapro. What do you think?
 
This is a guess,but I would think that two 15 mg pills,is the same as one 30 mg pill.
Perhaps you can get an official answer here,or somewhere else. Bill
