I'm writing a story that is written in first person. The character visits her mother, and takes a photo album with her. Her mother has a bad memory, and starts discussing a few of the photographs, citing that she can recall some details.
I want to switch to a flashback of each particular memory. What would be the proper way to write it? 1st or 3rd person?
