1999 Pontiac Grand Prix CD player?

I cant get my cd player to work. It says E20 and spits the disk out. I think the code means that the lens needs to be cleaned but how do I clean them? It wont take a cd clearner disk and I dont have $ to pay someone else to do it and I want my cd player to work.
