I have a 1999 villager, when i start the van an turn on the headlights they both come on,but after about 5 minutes the passenger headlight goes out.I swapped out the bulbs, driver an passenger bulbs an im sure both bulbs are good.I have wiggled the passenger connector an it doesnt make the light come on.Turning on the brights doesnt help either.Im not sure if i have a short, a bad switch, connector or whats going on an im not sure what kind of mechainc shop to take this to.I hate taking it to the dealer but they may be the only ones who can accurately fix this.someone i work with said i should just hook it up to a toggle switch an bypass the factory switch,is this feasable? Please ,advice taken!
turning them off an on doesnt help but if u turn van off for 15 minutes an back on they come on but after 5 minutes or so just the passenger side goes out..
another thing.the negative cable has always been loose.i thighten it down but its still kinda loose. i just kinds turn it a certain way so its fairly tight ..The other day i tried to permanetly fix it an make it tight.A guy at auto zone told me to take a stainless steel hose clamp an cut it an wrap it around the post an put the cable back on an it would work, which i did an it worked.very tight now.i have stainless steel neg.cable..could this have caused the headlight to act funny?
