1999 jeep code p1762?

My check engine light keeps on coming on and then will shut back off after a couple of days and the code is p1762 i know its the gov sensor and also my jeep started to make a winding noise when i go from park to reverse so my question is is this all one problem with the gov sensor or two different problems?

Any other info you have would help too? THANKS
