1999 jeep Cherokee sport cylinder misfire question?

im paying $1500 for this jeep (150k mi) and it has 2 issues one of the cylinders misfire which could be just a spark plug replacement right? and there is a small hole in the header of the tail pipe or something. what could be the estimated cost of these repairs if i buy the parts and do it myself. the engine is a 4.0l inline 6.


also how many more miles could i get out of this jeep? with regulare oil changes ect...

first off with the misfire, try running some lucas fuel injecter cleaner through your gas tank and see if that cures the problem. as for the the exhaust issue, im not much help. i just know from experiance about the misfiring issue. Also, if the engine is taken care of, it could last another hundred thousand or more miles.

The misfire issue can be either a spark plug, wire, coil, or fuel injector, and the hole in the header could probably just be spot welded.
