When i start my car up after its been sitting overnight or all day during school (living in southern NJ so its been about 30s-40s low at night) its fine for a few minutes. I let it warm up a little but then after driving for 3 or 4 minutes, it starts to die. I have my foot on the accelerator but u can hear n feel it slow down n sounds like gas just isnt gettin to the engine. But then it come right back n revs pretty high (probably cuz alll the gas just not gettin there finally rushing in). I'll let off the accelerator n it jsut keeps accelorating n then i can step on it again n it still wont accelerate at first but then will n very abruptly. It happened once about a year ago n never since then untill the past few days. been doing it every 3 or 4 mins after i start driving.
What do u think it is? i was thinking probably the fuel filter (or, hopefully not, the fuel pump) Also, do u think using that liquid fuel injector cleaner that u can get at autozone might help?
