I have a 1999 Taurus with a 3.0 v6 ohv. It currently has no heat unless you are driving on the freeway. I thought it was the heater core at first because the hose on the passenger side(from the water pump) doesn't get hot. But I removed the hoses and flushed the core with no blockage and only slightly dirty water coming out from either side. And did this twice until completely clear water ran the whole time. Then I changed the thermostat and had the blend door actuator replaced. Still no heat unless it's on the freeway. Vacuum pressure seems good and the coolant level is correct. The only thing I think of is that perhaps the water pumps fins are wore down and it doesn't push the water through with enough pressure for heat unless it's on the freeway. I held it at about 2000 rpm well parked to test that theory but the heat never came. Any ideas and/or suggestions? (I'm talking about the temperature of the heat not the blower it seems to work fine, and the car has never overheated)
