My Taurus' driver's door will not shut. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It seems when it is colder it tends not to lock as often. I have taken it in to a mechanic and they told me there was nothing wrong with the door or the locking mechanism....(they had it inside all night and out of the cold though) I have tried WD-40 and that did nothing. I have been having to hold the door shut while driving...in the winter! Today it worked fine on the way to work and then when I went to go home it wouldnt shut...The door just doesnt latch!
I dont know if this is of any help, but it the open door light was constantly on for months, but the door seemed to be shutting and locking fine, the alot later down the road, now my door decides to latch when it wants to...
Can anyone tell me what is wrong with it?
