Car electrical problem or cooling problem? I replace my radiator,thermostat,water pump and every other pump associated with the radiator. I did this to fix my coolant overflowing problems. Now when I star the car, after it gets warm up 20mins later, the cooling fans star running at all times and won't quit until I shut the car off. I disconnected the battery to reset the car's computer system and sensors and that seem to fix the problem.Fans would tun on when needed and off 30 seconds later. But after I turn it off and back on again the problems stars all over again? The mechanic told me that what I did had nothing to do with fixing any problems. that nothing was wrong and all was normal and it was merely pure coincidence. He told me that depending on the engine condition the fans can stay on for long periods of time or short periods of time, depending on the engine conditions. any opinions? lets assume something is wrong, what would it be? is the mechanic right?
is funny how u never noticed these things until you get a problem. I have no refrence since I never really pay attention to the fan sounds and they are very hard to hear. Does nayone have a ford Taurus that can help me answer my question?
