Have a 1999 Ford F150 5.4 Liter Triton V8 (330cui) 4x4, extended cab with an 8 foot bed, just rolled 211,000 miles on Monday. We've had to replace the fuel pump like 3 times within the few years. The engine in my opinion is under powered. Though it only has according to the Chilton is 260hp while another 5.4 liter has a blower to boost it to 360Hp. Anyway, the truck is still in decent shape, gets the job done. Not the greatest on mpg but no truck does. Would 300K miles be a safe call before i over hauled the engine? New heads, valves, pistons, connecting rods, etc etc?

And if so where can i find a complete rebuild kit for the engine? Been to NAPA and asked but they don't have any rebuild kits. Also i might replace the automatic transmission when i do the engine and probably change it to a 5 speed manual. Better millage and more control over the truck.
