A dealership told me that I need three things to repair the front portion of my transmission. I need a torque converter, an automatic transmission front pump, and a bypass. I am trying to avoid paying $90/hour for an 8 hour job to have this repaired when my neighbor offered to do it-I just need to find the parts which are unavailable at auto shops around here. I was curious if somebody could give me the names of these things I am looking for because none of the sites I have looked at has items by these generic names (except the torque converter). I want to price compare and order so I can get my car back up and running safely. So if anyone has the correct name of the items and a website or chain store where I can buy them...that would be great. Thanks in advance.
