and code p0101 PLEASE HELP? So i put a cold air intake on my 1999 cadillac deville with the northstar engine and the check engine light came and with code p0101 mas air flow sensor performance ) I put the stock one back on and now its fine. why is this happening please help
i never removed any sensors all i did was take the stock intake off and put my new intake on it made my check engine light come on so i put the stock intake back on and it works fine. but i know people who have done this with no problem
 
The MASS airflow sensor is part of your air intake. If you remove it your PCM has no way to detect how much air is coming in, and therefore has no way to know how much fuel to supply. You never want to remove sensors from your car. That would be silly. Leave it alone if you don't know anything about cars.
