My car's been finicky the past few weeks. The RPM's will drop and the car will jump forward trying to compensate. If I'm stopped or slowing (the RPM being low) the engine will stall, but this has only happened occasionally.
The best I can describe it is like a "hiccup", the car will make an abrupt jolt as it tries to compensate for what's happening.
It's kinda hit or miss if the car will do this, sometimes I start her up and I drive without any problems. But once the car is turned off it's like I roll the dice and decide if I'll have problems when I start back up. Also it will stop for a longer period of time if I've been driving for awhile, and it will act fine.
I replaced the fuel filter, the spark plugs, and the wireset to no avail. I've seen several websites say to perform a fuel pump test to see which direction to go, how do I perform this, and what would my results mean?
