Hello, I am looking for a used vehicle that is reliable and fuel efficient. I've read numerous consumer reports praising this vehicle for it's fuel efficiency and reliability. So what I want to know is the common issues involved with this model and what your experiences were regarding this vehicle. Also, I have found a 1998 Toyota Corolla LE available for purchase for $3,990 on this dealership's website. It has 117,638 Miles on it and I'm considering purchasing it. Any and all your answers are greatly appreciated.

That's a bit high for a 9 years old car. I would have it checked out by a trusted mechanic as well. You should be able to buy it for $2500 to $3000.

That's a good deal, corolla's and civics are some of the longest lasting cars and very fuel efficient, the only problem is that the parts for a japaneese cars are a little more expensive than american, if u ask me would i rather have a chevy caviller or the corolla, i would go for the corolla. The engine on the corrola are very reliable and dont need much maintainence compared to american car. Hands down, japaneese cars are the best. PS try getting the price down to 3500 or ask the dealer to thrown in a couple of bonuses like gas cards etc. hope i helped
