My father has a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am. 3100 SFI V6 engine... now if you turn the key it will try to turn over but it won't fire up... also, we have been able to spray starting fluid directly into what appears to be a throttle body and we've gotten it to somewhat start that way... however, once it turns over that way it just spits and sputters and then shuts itself right back off... won't even run for one minute doing it that way... without doing that though it won't start at all... can any one offer some help on what the problem could be?
