I have 1998 Mazda 626 that recently the DS ball joint simply popped loose in the control arm. Will i have to replace the whole thing or just the ball joint itself? Is the ball joint held in by a snap ring on the top that might have failed?
If you can actually see the ball, then the ball joint was worn (not a retainer or such). I'm not sure if you need the whole arm or can buy just the joint on these.
