Today while driving my 1998 Honda Civic Cx Hatchback, I noticed my engine light flashing and that my car was driving a little rough, and was not accelerating normally. When I came to a stop I found it especially rough while idling and I had to give it more gas than usually to get moving. I went home and plug in a computer to tell me what was causing the problem. the computer said I had misfires in cylinders 1,2,3 and 4 and that I had a random misfire. I have gotten new wires and spark plugs recently and I got a new distributor cap about a year ago, however when I looked at my distributor cap I found a lot of corrosion and wear. Could a faulty distributor cap cause this much trouble or is there anything else that could cause this much trouble?
