I have a 1998 ford taurus and suspect an intake gasket leak. I hear these cars were known for this. Mine has the 3.0 24 valve durtec motor, and has the upper and lower intakes. has anyone had this problem with theirs and if so which gasket is it that leaks? Is it just the upper that gives the problem or the lower, or does it even make a difference? Serious replys only please. If you are not familiar with this engine or problem please pass this question by.

i haven't had the chance to take it into the shop yet and get it checked out but planning to do that, and yes the SES light is on with lean codes in both banks.
