i just bought a 1998 dodge dakota SLT two days ago. i noticed the heat wasn't the greatest. so I took off the radiator cap to see if the pump was circulating the coolant. it wasn't. but the truck isn't overheating. so i pumped the top hose with my hand and when i did it the bottom hose moved and the coolant moved up and down. it the thermostat closed? is it possible for the pump not to circulate and the truck not overheat? or is it something else? help please??? oh yeah its a 3.9 V-6 with 88,000 on it.
