My Chrysler Concorde will start and then die. Every once and a while we can get it to idle and when we shift gears it dies. We replaced the fuel pump and it does the same thing still. What can it be? I am mechanically stupid so please speak in simple terms. Thanks!!

My fuel filter and fuel pump are all one. The old ones used to have the filter on top but they no longer make them that way.
