1998 Buick regal ignition switch?

I believe that i need to replace my ignition switch on my 1998 buick regal, but I heard that I can also put a push button starter to bypass the ignition switch. I also heard that there is not a way to do it on my vehicle. I was wondering if and how can this be done?
By the way my key has a chip in it
 
If you do have a correct key for the ign and it is the one with the little silver bar in the middle of the black plastic key shroud then it is actually easy to bypass. with an ohms resistor put in line on the computer circuit. If this is your type of key then private message me and I will direct you through the procedure. If it is an electronic coded signal key I am not that familiar with them.

Disabling the ign lock is a bit tricky and requires some special tools to remove mechanism unless you have a key.
