I'm trying to replace the spark plugs on my 97' Celica, but I'm realizing now that the previous owner probably never changed them because they seem to be completely welded to the head. What is a good way to get them out without breaking it.
I'm a 23 yr old woman with very little knowledge of cars, but I cant afford to take my car into a service station and need to do it myself. I know what is wrong with my car, i already changed the distributor cap, and rotor- now its just the spark plugs and spark plug wires.
can I use wd-40 to loosen it? I heard it was a bad idea to put any sort of grease down there.

The rubber around the spark plugs has completely melted and welded to the cylinder head.
