This car has 102,000 miles and the original factory alternator went out a month ago. I had it replaced with a re-manufactured alternator which lasted 2 weeks and then it went out. I replaced this one with another re-man and it lasted a week before the bearings melted. I have the 3rd re-manufactured alternator on it now and the bearings are squealing and the unit is getting very hot. Can someone tell me what maybe causing this. I can't imagine I have gotten 3 bad parts in a row. Please help. Thanks in advance.

you can get 3 bad in a row...but are you putting belt on too tight????/
rebuilt alternators and starters are famous for being junky...if getting rebuilt get a lifetime warrenty...they are rebuilt to tighter/better specs

now you know why a rebuilt cost 150 dollars and new factory one is 350 or more..
