I got a 1997 mazda miata MX5 that the head gasket went bad. The head gasket has been replaced and a new re-manufactured head was installed. The car is smoking bad after it sits awhile. Its not coolant. The car is burning oil badly. After you run the car for a few minutes it clears. The new head has new valve seals. Also, the vehicle has 109,000 miles on it. The car runs good after the smoke clears up. It does miss when it smokes in the morning. probably because of the oil on the plugs? Does anyone has suggestions?
The cylinder head was purchased at cylinder head int'l. I myself is a mechanic for 35 years and I am stumped? I've heard it may be valve guides or stuck oil rings?
