Hi. My pickup truck starts up well if I keep my foot on the gas a little bit but won't stay running if I take my foot off. I have to keep it around 1000 RPM for it to stay running. It idles at 600 RPM. This was especially a problem last night when it was 30 degrees out. Today it is 50 degrees out and I have the same problem, but letting it warm up for about five minutes allowed me to take my foot off the gas and have it idle by itself.
I've checked the air filter (spotless), and disconnected the Idle Air sensor wires ( the rpms dropped) and I believe it is working OK.
What is the next step to take?
