1997 Honda Prelude vibrates when accelerating?

When I have the the car in gear and I am accelerating it will sometimes shake it does not do it all the time some days it wont do it at all others its unbearable seems to be worse when turning or going uphill the vibration is mostly concentrated on front passenger tire i checked the cv joint and the boot is not cracked what i believe is the transmission is covered in old grease and the "rod" possibly the axle coming from the cv join is rusted and moves east to west about 1/8 an inch each way just looking for any insight to the problem
 
sounds like it might be a trans problem it is not a alignment issue. if it was a alignment issue the car would pull left or right. have the front end checked out from the sound of it the cv joint has play in it and needs to be replaced. there should be no play in the front end at all.
