1997 Honda Passport with possible transmission issues?

So, I bought this car not that long ago. It is really quiet and has been running great until the last three days.

Three days ago, I drove 4 blocks from my house. The car all of a sudden wouldn't accelerate and all the check engine, check trans etc lights came on. I pulled it to the side and turned it off. It was not overheating. I let it sit for a few and then started it back up. No lights and no problems the rest of the drive. On the way back home it did the exact same thing. Only that time the check trans light stayed flashing the rest of the drive home. The next time I started it, the light was not on.

Yesterday, nothing happened and I drove it plenty. Today, on my way to work it was fine. On the way back home, I hit a dip in the road a little too hard and it did it again. Wouldn't accelerate, all the lights flashed. So, I pulled over, turned it off and waited a few minutes. It turned back on and the check trans light flashed the whole way home. And a new development, it is shifting kinda hard. (its an automatic)

I've tried checking the transmission fluid, but apparently Honda Passports were made without dipsticks for that.

Any advice??
