1997 Honda Accord Radio Removal Question?

I bought a new radio off crutchfield to replace the stock one, and I am having trouble removing the polished wooden/plastic face. I unscrewed the Arm Rest, and took it off, I removed the 2 screws in the front holding the plastic down, and the 1 behind the ashtray. It doesn't seem to want to come out. I don't want to force it and snap it, so if anyone could help i'd greatly appreciate it.

I had a '90 Honda Accord with the SAME problem (only the black plastic thingy came off and the radio itself just didnt wanna come out).

I found out that by taking a mallet, not a hammer, but a MALLET, and gently (GENTLY), bumping the radio to carefully knock it loose made all the difference.
It eventually popped right out.
